24th European Congress of Lepidopterology

The 24th European Congress of Lepidopterology will take place on August 18-23 2025 in Svatý Jan pod Skalou, Czech Republic. It is organized by the Society for European Lepidopterology (SEL).

The congress venue will be a medieval monastery near Prague in a limestone area with spectacular scenery and rich in butterfly and moth diversity.

The programme includes congress sessions covering a wide range of lepidopterology topics, as well as field trips and excursions. The scientific committee includes Deutsche Entomologische Zeitschrift reviewer and editor Reza Zahiri, as well as authors David Agassiz and Théo Léger.

As a sponsor of the event, Pensoft, Deutsche Entomologische Zeitschrift’s publisher, will present awards to the best presentation and best poster.
